What is systema?
SYSTEMA - "The System" - is a formerly classified form of combat training that has its origins in Russia, where it has been used to train police and military forces for decades. After the fall of the Iron Curtain, Systema quickly spread from Russia to the rest of the world. It is well-known as a situation-driven, "technique-less"
Focusing on understanding and reacting in the moment, rather than
memorization of techniques, Systema training is a synergistic combination of
hand-to-hand combat, breath control, flexibility, mental clarity and situational and self-awareness.
Is systema right for me?
Yes! One of the great things about Fight Theory Systema training is that anyone can do it! You don't need to have a certain body type or be a certain age to train in Systema. In fact, you only need two things: the desire to increase your strength, health and confidence and the willingness to stick with your training.
